One of the most common worries families share with us is this: will my details be sent to people before I have even agreed? The answer is no. This article walks through what happens, in order, before any proposal is introduced.
Step 1: Your profile and preferences are recorded
After registration, your profile holds your personal details, education and profession, family background and the qualities you are looking for. If you choose, it can also include horoscope details and photographs. This information is used for one purpose: to identify and introduce suitable proposals on your behalf.
Step 2: Our team identifies a possible match
Our team considers possible proposals against what you have asked for, and against what the other party has asked for. A proposal is only suitable if it makes sense for both sides.
Step 3: We explain the proposal to you
Before anything else happens, we bring the proposal to you. We explain why it was selected, what we know about the family and what the next step would involve. You can take time to think it over and discuss it with your family.
At this stage, nothing about you has been shared with the other party.
Step 4: You decide whether to proceed
If the proposal does not feel right, simply tell us, and it goes no further. If you would like to proceed, you give us your consent to approach the other party about that specific proposal.
Step 5: We approach the other party on your behalf
We contact the other family respectfully and share what they need to consider the proposal. Photographs are shown only to a party you have agreed to be introduced to. The other family then makes their own decision, in the same unhurried way.
Step 6: Contact once both sides agree
Only when both sides have agreed do we pass on contact details or help arrange a first meeting, usually with families present. From there, the families get to know each other, and we remain available for guidance.
Families should make their own enquiries too
We introduce proposals in good faith, based on the information registered candidates give us, and we verify what we reasonably can. As with any marriage proposal, families are encouraged to make their own enquiries before deciding to go ahead.
If you have questions about this process, call 0772 346 246 or contact us. We are glad to explain it in person.
